Hmmm weren't they trying to have the title game on New Years Day?

I don't think so. I'm hoping that the bowl games won't be so spread out now (and with any luck there will be about 10 fewer). I want my new years day college football bonanza back.

No, the title game was always going to be 7-9 days after New Years.

At least this locks in the traditonal kickoff time and place for the Rose Bowl,as much as Dan Wetzel will hate it.

Actually, the Big Ten and Delany own ESPN. ESPN has the $$ and the Big Ten has the audience. Its just good business. Oh, and its better than your games being played on FX between reruns of Damages.
