It's easy to take for granted...just what a special man Kinnick was. And how fortunate we are to have a name like that...and a man like that...as a symbol of our football program and University.

I can't help it think...if we had a few more men and women who thought and saw life as Kinnick did... our country would be much better off today.

People dont make speeches like his heisman speech anymore. I honestly think he might have gone on to be president.

Its never tiring to me hearing and reading about Kinnick. Last year I finally had the opportunity to a acquire a letter he had written. Even that letter to a boy showed his compassion and humanity. What could've been.

Every time I are Nile's acceptance speech I marvel at how grounded, educated, and sincere his comments were. I still can't believe this was a college-aged individual speaking. I get chills every time I hear his speech and I feel so very proud to have his legacy continue on throughout Hawkeye nation. Nile was one of a kind.

^^Yes. He seemed like a man amongst boys in the way he carried himself and spoke. He must have been an awesome friend and teammate to know. He also was said to have the values that the leaders in this country really needed then and now.
