    Nor should they. PSU is going to be in a world of hurt when this is done. Although their alumni who are in a state of denial will probably pay the suits for them.

    I'm pretty sure that the concept of insurance is as a backstop against ACCIDENTS. Covering up for a known child rapist for 14 years isn't exactly an "accident".

    You can buy insurance against being stupid, but you can't buy insurance against being criminal.

    Thems the rules, and they actually make a lot of sense.

    Duffman is dead right here. All liability insurance policies have specific exclusions pertaining to intentional acts, and most have exclusions for and will not cover unlawful behavior.
    Personally, I think the insurance company has a pretty good case on this.

    this is stupid. ins companies as a rule fight everything they think is profitable to fight.
